Last night was good.  Went to King of Clubs for a bit.. got tired, said a round of hugs and goodbyes..  We got almost to Sunnyvale and realized I'd left my credit card behind.  So we drove back.  As I was sitting at the bar waiting to settle my tab, Bruce convinced us to stay for another song.  So we stayed, said a round of hugs and goobyes, and made our way home.

I slept very well last night after some settling of nerves.

Woke up this morning and called Kaiser to see about my prescription refill that I hadn't heard about in 4 days.

After speaking to FIVE people, I finally got a non-robot in the pharmacy.  He looked up my file and told me my  refill was denied on Wednesday, but no one bothered to call to let me know.  He put an urgent note in to my doctor and told me to call back around 3:30.  It's an hour and a half away  If I don't get anywhere with them, or don't get a refill, I'm going to urgent care and telling them I'm going to be on my feet and away from Kaiser for a few weeks, and dammit I need something for pain.


and then...

I get to work and everyone is gone to a super fun BBQ at a park for the afternoon, but not me!  Nope.. I have to clear voicemails and stay on the phone because I'm not allowed to enjoy myself at work.

*sigh*

ANY WAY

I printed our boarding passes, and in about 6 1/2 hours none of this will matter because I'll officially be on VACATION.
